REBUILD & REIMAGINE FUND
CLF launched the Rebuild & Reimagine Fund to help communities across the Caribbean prepare for and rebuild after devastating climate events.
With deep roots in the region, CLF has a proven track record of mobilizing resources quickly and effectively during times of crisis. Our approach combines rapid response with long-term investment. We channel resources through trusted local organizations that understand the needs of their communities, ensuring support reaches those most affected while strengthening local capacity for the future.
A Two-Pronged Approach
1. Immediate Relief and Recovery: Through our network of trusted local partners, CLF provides flexible funding that can be deployed quickly to address urgent needs in the aftermath of a disaster. Because our partners are embedded in the communities they serve, they help identify emerging needs and critical gaps, ensuring resources reach those who are often left behind.
2. Long-Term Investments in Resilience: CLF invests in innovative solutions that expand access to essential services—including healthcare, education, clean water, connectivity, and economic opportunity—while strengthening communities' ability to withstand future shocks.
We’re currently prioritizing efforts across three critical areas:
Health Access
CLF launched the Caribbean's first solar-powered mobile health clinic in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to expand access to healthcare in underserved communities. The long-term vision is to establish a fleet of strategically located mobile clinics across the Caribbean that can provide routine care year-round and rapidly deploy following disasters to address surge healthcare needs.
Water Security
CLF supports innovative off-grid water systems that produce clean drinking water in compostable, plant-based bottles. These systems address both water scarcity and plastic waste while providing a reliable source of safe drinking water when traditional infrastructure is disrupted following hurricanes and other disasters.
Resilient Education Infrastructure
Building on CLF's track record of investing in education infrastructure across the Caribbean, the Fund supports the reconstruction and strengthening of public schools damaged by disasters. Through resilient design, schools can serve as both centers of learning and Category 5 hurricane-resistant community shelters—providing safe spaces for students and critical community infrastructure before, during, and after emergencies.
