Arts & Culture

Investing in artists, cultural institutions, and creative leaders who preserve heritage, strengthen communities, and expand opportunity.

Culture is infrastructure. Across the Caribbean and U.S. South, artists, storytellers, and cultural practitioners preserve heritage, strengthen community identity, and drive economic activity. Yet arts ecosystems are often underfunded. Investing in culture preserves heritage, strengthens community identity, creates economic opportunity, and ensures creative ecosystems can thrive for future generations.

We prioritize

Cultural Preservation

Initiatives safeguarding heritage and traditional practices

Youth Development

Programs building confidence, skills, and leadership through the arts

Climate Narratives

Creative work connecting environmental and cultural resilience

Infrastructure Investment

Climate-resilient spaces for creative excellence

Our Goal

A culturally rich and economically just future where artists and arts organizations across the Caribbean and U.S. South are resourced to thrive - preserving heritage, shaping narrative power, and building creative economies that sustain their communities.

Building Creative Leaders for Tomorrow

For over a decade, OTT has nurtured Barbados' next generation of performers, educators, and cultural leaders. Their alumni go on to careers in entertainment, education, and entrepreneurship—but more importantly, they carry forward the confidence, discipline, and cultural pride built through their training. As OTT expands with new programming and permanent infrastructure, they're building a foundation for creative excellence that will shape the Caribbean for generations.

Jamaica

Elevating performing arts

JMTC is a non-profit dedicated to elevating performing arts in Jamaica through annual Broadway-style musicals and a concert series, with part proceeds supporting children’s charities. Its mission is to inspire and entertain through exceptional musical theatre, and its vision is to deliver the region’s leading theatrical experience rooted in innovation and community impact. With CLF’s support, JMTC is launching a transformative new hub designed to preserve and repurpose more than 50 years of costumes, props, and sets while strengthening Jamaica’s theatre and live events industries. Through sustainable practices, job creation, revenue-generating opportunities, and cultural preservation, the Imaginorium will foster a vibrant ecosystem of artisans and technicians and establish a cultural landmark that honors JMTC’s creative legacy.

Caribbean - Regional

Creativity as a catalyst for resilience

The Caribbean Climate Justice Project works at the intersection of arts, education, and climate advocacy to empower communities across the region. Through initiatives like the Youth Artivism Competition, which invites young people to use digital art, music, performance, and storytelling to raise awareness, and educational programs that strengthen climate literacy, the project uses creativity as a catalyst for resilience. Together, these efforts help bridge learning, culture, and action to advance climate equity in the Caribbean.
